This winter transfer window will be opened in January 2017, some of big transfers will happen on FIFA 17 Ultimate Team as players move from their old clubs to new ones or returning players to their original squad after loan deals have ended. In our guide, we will show you some potential January transfers according to the latest transfer news and rumours.
Kasper Dolberg (Ajax > > Manchester City)
Manchester City could be set to rival Manchester United and Chelsea for the signature of Ajax striker Kasper Dolberg after confirming their interest in him. The 19-year-old broke into the first team this season and has racked up 11 goals and four assists in all competitions for the Dutch giants.
Julian Draxler (VfL Wolfsburg >> Arsenal)
The Germany international is set to leave Wolfsburg this January after falling out with the club's hierarchy. Arsenal and PSG have been put on red alert by the news as both clubs hold a long-term interest in the forward. And Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has reportedly asked the Gunners to splash out on his Germany teammate Julian Draxler.
Joey Barton (Rangers FC >> Burnley)
Burnley will offer Joey Barton a route back to the Premier League with a short-term contract until the end of the season. The controversial midfielder, 34, is currently training with the Clarets as he looks to maintain his fitness after having his contract with Rangers cancelled last month.
Mauricio Lemos (UD Las Palmas >> Manchester United)
Manchester United have been keeping a close eye on Las Palmas defender Mauricio Lemos ahead of a potential move in the January transfer window. The Uruguayan has helped the club to a great start in La Liga this season with the club currently defying the odds by sitting in 10th after 15 matches.
Memphis Depay (Manchester United >> Everton)
Manchester United forward Memphis is expected to follow Morgan Schneiderlin to Everton once the January transfer window opens. The Dutchman is the only outfield player to have been restricted to one start by Mourinho, which came in the EFL Cup tie at Northampton almost three months ago.
Elseid Hysaj (Napoli >> Chelsea)
Chelsea are said to be stepping up their efforts to sign Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj, who has also been touted as a target for both Manchester United and Manchester City. The 22-year-old joined Napoli from Empoli in 2015 and has a contract until 2021, meaning any suitor could find it difficult to tempt the Serie A giants into a sale.
Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool >> Barcelona)
Barcelona would reportedly have to fork out £90 million in order to sign Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho, and the Reds are preparing to offer him a new deal to prevent any moves for the Brazilian. Barcelona have long been suitors of Coutinho's, and he has also drawn interest from Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.
Dimitri Payet (West Ham United >> Marseille)
Dimitri Payet has again said he would consider a move away from West Ham, this time hinting he could be open to returning to former club Marseille. The West Ham midfielder moved to London last summer from the French club and impressed in his first season as the Hammers reached the Europa League qualifiers.
Ross Barkley (Everton >> Tottenham Hotspur)
Tottenham have asked Everton about the availability of Ross Barkley ahead of the January transfer window, according to reports. Everton reportedly want to sell Ross Barkley for £30 million in order to make room for a couple of new additions during the winter transfer window. Barkley, 23, is out of contract at the end of next season, after signing a four-year deal worth about £65,000 a week in 2014.
Koke (Atlético Madrid >> Manchester City)
Manchester City have been said to be interested in signing Atletico Madrid star Koke when the January 2017 transfer window opens. Despite Koke's enormous release clause of £125 million, it was stated that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola admires his versatility and would want the player to play for the club in 2017.
