Fifa 17 Arsenal Players Rating Predictions: Sanchez/Oizl/Bellerin

TAG: FIFA 17 Player Rating 7/29/2016 5:52:11 PM

the 2015/16 season for arsenal was a roller coaster ride to say the least. the gunners finished the season in second place in the league, somehow overtaking bitter rivals tottenham hotspur in the process.

this is not a bad season to the gunners with ending up with their highest premier league finish in 11 years due to the club's super great players. in the forward line, they had alexis sanchez, olivier giroud; in midfield, coquelin did not lose a single premier league match when played at least 60 minutes together in central midfield. in next season, the team will be stronger with the new signings. let’s look back at some important notes for the players for our fifa 17 arsenal players rating predictions.

petr cech: 86 -> 86
cech is definitely within the best keepers in the division. however his age is definitely catching up with him and mistakes were made across the season, if across time intervals too wide to be considerably noticeable. 86 is probably too high a rating for a season like cech’s, which will probably see him given a minor downgrade, though nothing more than that for the legendary czech.

laurent koscielny: 84 -> 85
the frenchman, like most of his teammates, had a strong run as arsenal reached the top of the table in january, only to succumb to inconsistency. in december, rio ferdinand had declared him the best defender in the league, but it was hard to make that case in a tough slog through february and march.

hector bellerin: 77 -> 80
the only arsenal player to be named in the pfa team of the year produced consistently high performances. his speed makes him a threat in attack and his desperate scrambling in defence was often crucial. if there is a fault, it’s bellerin’s crossing, which tends to be on or off rather than always of the desired quality.

granit xhaka: 82-> 82
on 25 may 2016, arsenal signed granit xhaka from borussia mönchengladbach for a fee of around £30–35 million. he doesn't score many, just three this season so far, but when he does they're usually stunners. xhaka has won gladbach's goal of the year each of the last two years, first for his free-kick against villarreal in the europa league in 2014, and last year for his derby winner against cologne.

santi cazorla: 85 -> 85
his knee injury in november was, in all probability the turning coin of arsenal’s season, even though their decline from a challenging position came six weeks later. his two footed genius was at the ore in the early season rush — except in front of goal where he has never reached potential. his unfortunate last minute slip at the penalty spot in a loss to west brom sums up his season in front of goal.

per mertesacker: 83 -> 82
mertesacker did not enjoy a successful season with arsenal. though he suffered from injuries across the campaign his recklessness and sluggishness leave him exposed against offensively capable teams, and often his defensive weakness left his team throwing away valuable coins across the season.

aaron ramsey: 82 -> 83
would be the most frustrating player at the club, if they didn’t also have theo walcott. his class is unquestionable but very rarely will ramsey boss a game. capable of rich embellishments but too often peripheral as he makes do with makeshift roles.

mohamed elneny: 70 -> 72
the egyptian arrived in the january transfer window and was mostly stranded on the bench as arsenal’s title slipped from grasp. when arsene wenger finally integrated him he played above the expectations of many fans. a strong, accurate passing game made him a good replacement for mikel arteta, and his love of a long range pop aid off with a memorable goal against barcelona at the nou camp.

olivier giroud: 82 -> 83
at one coin in the season, olivier giroud went 15 premier league matches with scoring. nevertheless, he somehow finished the campaign with a decent tally of 16 league goals. giroud’s strengths are obvious—no player scored more than the seven headed goals he managed in 2015/16.

mezut ozil: 88-> 89
the 27-year-old german was fantastic this season for the gunners.  his 19 assists, 144 chances created, and 125 key passes not only led his club, but all of the premier league.  petr cech, hector bellerin, laurent koscielny and alexis sanchez could also be considered, but özil reigned supreme for the gunners this season.

alexis sanchez: 86 -> 87
although alexis sanchez might not have quite lived up to his extraordinary debut season in the premier league, a final tally of 13 goals suggests he still delivered an important contribution. had injury not forced him to miss several months, he might even have matched last year’s total.

jack wilshere: 81 -> 81
wilshere spent almost the entire season injured so moving his rating up or down does seem unfair, especially when he was given so little playing time at euro 2016 by england. his card being non rare was an odd choice by ea so that might change, though given the rating doesn’t look set to change we don’t see any change on that front either.
